Our motto is the foundation we stand on – it’s all about giving back and giving of yourself to help prepare the food. Besides providing meals, we also collect clothes, blankets, bed linen, toys, books, games etc. to give to those in need.
Responsibility
Food made with Compassion and Nutrition
Our Sense of Taste Chef School Feeding Programme, largely funded by Chef Peter and Principal Debs, started when the global Covid-19 pandemic began.
“When the Covid-19 Global Pandemic began, we started our feeding programme to support our local communities in dire need of food. We feed 1500 people in need each week. Our Motto is “Food Made with Compassion and Nutrition” We have included this in our school curriculum, teaching our students about giving back and how to make something from nothing, respectfully and of course delicious. It shows our students how to work in bulk production, improving their knife and food preparation skills tenfold and most importantly making nutritious and tasty cooked meals for those in need. Fighting hunger one meal at a time.”
