Kristin Reagon\u2019s journey is a perfect example of how passion, hard work, and the right training can transform a dream into an international culinary career.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, Kristin is the Head Chef of Lasair at Finn Lough Resort in Northern Ireland, leading an acclaimed all-female kitchen team and earning recognition on some of the culinary world&#8217;s biggest stages. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But her journey began with a life-changing opportunity at Sense of Taste Chef School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-accent-4-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-504f4fd88f9f9a5a6b4bf1c5f7110927\">A Competition That Changed Everything<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kristin originally planned to study chemical engineering and had never seriously considered becoming a chef. She first completed an internship at Aubergine Restaurant, where she was introduced to the precision and standards of fine dining. One of these opportunities led to her participation in the prestigious One&amp;Only Young Stars competition, where her team achieved second place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The reward was an international culinary internship at Winslow&#8217;s Tavern in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, USA.<br>This experience exposed Kristin to new ingredients, techniques, and kitchen cultures while allowing her to work alongside talented chefs from around the world. It was her first taste of the international culinary industry and helped broaden her perspective as a young chef.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-accent-4-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8f21220298846fe895f6a19ac263d25e\">Building a Career in South Africa&#8217;s Finest Kitchens<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After returning to South Africa, Kristin continued to build her career in some of the country&#8217;s leading fine-dining establishments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She joined The Greenhouse at The Cellars-Hohenort Hotel in Constantia, one of Cape Town&#8217;s most respected fine-dining restaurants.
